Rapid7 Recognized for Excellence in Customer Service and Innovation

Wins Best Vulnerability Management Solution in 2014 SC Awards and a Silver Stevie Award for Best Frontline Customer Service Team (Technology Industries)

Boston, MA — March 13, 2014

Rapid7, a leading provider of IT security data and analytics software and services, is pleased to announce it was selected as a Reader Trust award winner in the Best Vulnerability Management Solution category at the 2014 SC Awards. Rapid7 was also presented with a Silver Stevie® Award in the Frontline Customer Service Team of the Year - Technology Industries - Computer Software category in the eighth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.

For the SC Award, Rapid7 Nexpose was selected from a group of finalists representing the best the information security industry has to offer. Hundreds of vendors and service providers entered the Reader Trust Award category. Nexpose was selected as the winner by a panel representing a cross-section of SC Magazine readership, which is comprised of large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets, including financial services, health care, government, retail, education and other sectors.

The SC Awards, now in its 17th year, is recognized as the most prestigious mark of achievement for information-technology (IT) security professionals and products. The annual awards showcase the best solutions, services and professionals working to fend off the myriad security threats in today's corporate world.

"After being narrowed down to a select group of finalists, our judges poured over the entries to thoroughly compare each product against its peers," said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Magazine. "Rapid7 Nexpose was selected as the winner for its ability to best meet the needs of its customers."

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world's top sales awards, contact center awards, and customer service awards. More than 1,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year's competition. Finalists were determined by the average scores of 129 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges. More than 260 executives around the world participated in the judging process for the 2014 awards, to determine the Finalists and then the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements.

"Entries to the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service have almost doubled over the past few years," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "Not only have we seen a dramatic increase in the number of entries; but the judges have also seen a remarkable rise in the quality of the nominations submitted overall. We congratulate all of this year's Stevie winners for their outstanding work."

"We're thrilled to receive these honors," said Lee Weiner, Senior Vice President of Products and Engineering at Rapid7. "It's exciting to see that our company-wide commitment to providing innovative solutions for security's complex challenges has paid off. The SC Magazine award validates all the hard work Rapid7 has put into making Nexpose an awesome product that helps organizations actively manage IT security risk. This, coupled with the Stevie award, underscores the tremendous value we place on helping our customers solve real-world security challenges."

In addition to the SC Magazine and Stevie Award wins, Rapid7 also received the Vulnerability Management Market Penetration Leadership Award from Frost & Sullivan earlier this year. The Frost & Sullivan award recognized Rapid7 as the fastest growing company in the vulnerability management space.
