When facing unexpected, uncharted territory or circumstances, we find the best approach is to stay positive, stay connected, get creative, and forge on. You could definitely say that’s what the Rapid7 team did at the dawn of COVID-19 in March 2020. Upon news of our temporarily closed global office spaces to ensure employee health and safety, we made the quantum leap to a remote world and workplace and left behind our multi-screened desks, in-person Insight Coffees, suite-style mother’s rooms, snack walls, teas and coffees prepared by our in-house baristas, onsite IT help desks, live conversations with coworkers in our open concept-style offices, and much, much more.
In typical Rapid7 fashion, our global team rose to the challenge and seamlessly adapted to this new world; internal microsites were immediately established with COVID-19 and office access updates, our “Customer First” commitment remained at the forefront of our global initiatives, monthly global Town Halls took on a weekly cadence, our new hire onboarding went digital, #gardening, #cooking, #R7peloton, and #alonetogether slack channels arose, and new ways of global engagement and connectivity took form (as seen below).
