Jasmin Ransomware Web Server Unauthenticated SQL Injection

Disclosed

Description

The Jasmin Ransomware web server contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability within the login functionality. As of April 15, 2024 this was still unpatched, so all versions are vulnerable. The last patch was in 2021, so it will likely not ever be patched. Retrieving the victim's data may take a long amount of time. It is much quicker to get the logins, then just login to the site.

Module Options

To display the available options, load the module within the Metasploit console and run the commands 'show options' or 'show advanced':

msf > use auxiliary/gather/jasmin_ransomware_sqli
msf auxiliary(jasmin_ransomware_sqli) > show actions
    ...actions...
msf auxiliary(jasmin_ransomware_sqli) > set ACTION < action-name >
msf auxiliary(jasmin_ransomware_sqli) > show options
    ...show and set options...
msf auxiliary(jasmin_ransomware_sqli) > run

Time is precious, so I don’t want to do something manually that I can automate. Leveraging the Metasploit Framework when automating any task keeps us from having to re-create the wheel as we can use the existing libraries and focus our efforts where it matters.
