  • Exposure management will gain momentum
“By 2026, organizations prioritizing their security investments based on a continuous threat exposure management program will realize a two-thirds reduction in breaches.” says Gartner. As adoption of SaaS accelerates, security teams will be looking to limit new exposures.

  • Generative AI will inspire long-term hope
“Through 2025, generative AI will cause a spike in the cybersecurity resources required to secure it, causing more than a 15% incremental spend on application and data security.” New attack surfaces introduced by GenAI will need securing, which means a whole new dimension of talent will be needed. However, as the technology becomes more integrated, teams will be able to adopt the knowledge they need to take down threats faster.

  • Future-proofing will come into focus in the form of cybersecurity reskilling
According to Gartner, “Fifty percent of large enterprises will use agile learning as their primary upskilling/reskilling method by 2026.” Human intuition will always be the driving force behind the effort to secure the world’s digital infrastructure, and being skilled in leveraging GenAI can augment and accelerate human efforts.
