(NASDAQ: RPD) a leading provider of security data and analytics solutions, today announced that Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, has given Rapid7 (NTO) a 4.05 out of 5.0 in the Web Application Security Testing (AST) use case in its most recent Critical Capabilities for Application Security Testing.
The Critical Capabilities for Application Security Testing findings were published by Joseph Feiman and Neil MacDonald on August 17, 2015. Rapid7 (NTO) also received a 4.02 out of 5.0 in the “Manual Web Penetration Testing” Use Case and a 2.81 out of 5.0 in the “Enterprise Uses its Own AST Tools” Use Case.
Rapid7 acquired NT Objectives (NTO) on May 4, 2015 and began offering the acquired technology under the name Rapid7 AppSpider.
